VAHS Northern Neck-Middle Peninsula Chapter Meeting: June 15 Program

The June program will be presentation of Hampton’s “AirPower Park,” by Museum Curator, Allen Hoilman

The City of Hampton’s Air Power Park recognizes Hampton’s role in America’s early space exploration and aircraft testing. Open year-round, seven days a week, sunrise to sunset, this free 15-acre park features vintage aircraft, 1950s and -60s space launch vehicles, jets, missiles, rockets and more.

With over thirty years in the museum profession and long service as Curator for the Hampton History Museum, Allen Hoilman has been lead for the Air Power Park Revitalization project now nearing completion. Join us on June 15th to see and hear what’s new at one of Virginia’s premier aeronautical history venues.

The chapter currently meets on the third Thursday of each month at 11:30 am for lunch and a presentation of informative aviation programs. Everyone interested in aviation is invited to join the members at the Pilot House Restaurant adjacent to Hummel Airport on Route 3 in Topping, VA.
