Dynamic Aviation facility tour and “First Air Force One” (FAFO) tour
What: Dynamic Aviation facility tour and “First Air Force One” (FAFO) tour.
Date: Saturday October 3, 2026
Time: 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Location: Bridgewater Air Park, 1402 Airport Road, Bridgewater, VA 22812(KVBW)
Who: All VAHS members and their guests.
Details: Arrangements have been made for VAHS members and their guests to receive a special private group tour of the Dynamic Aviation (DA) facility at Bridgewater Air Park.
DA is an industry leader in aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) including major modifications and capability upgrades, restoration and parts sales and distribution specializing in King Air and Dash 8 aircraft for domestic and international customers. The company was founded by Karl Stoltzfus who was inducted into the VAHS Hall of Fame in 2006.
The DA tour will include an overview of company history and current business operations including a close up look at DA’s working fleet of King Air aircraft. Our group will also have the opportunity to view DA’s collection of unique and rare vintage aircraft that played significant roles in aviation development.
The First Air Force One (FAFO) tour will include the story of how Mr Stoltzfus saved the Lockheed Constellation VC-121A that was the first aircraft designated Air Force One from the scrap heap and brought it to Bridgewater Air Park for complete restoration. Our group will have the opportunity to view the aircraft interior and exterior, see the status of restoration work in progress and learn about the future plans for displaying this unique historic artifact.
Please note that VAHS members are welcome and encouraged to bring one adult guest. The guest can be a family member, relative or friend. Please advise if you will be bringing a guest.
There is no cost to VAHS members and their guests for the tours, but donations to VAHS are always welcome and appreciated!
Bridgewater Air Park is located in the scenic Shenandoah Valley just south of Harrisonburg, VA. The drive to Bridgewater passes through beautiful Virginia countryside with a number of places along the route to stop for lunch or dinner on the way back.
We need to know how many people will participate in order to complete final planning and organization for the tour. DA is an access controlled secure facility due to the nature of some of the work done there. In order to expedite access approval, the first and last names, phone number and email address for all visitors must be provided in advance.
PLEASE RESPOND BY SEPTEMBER 17 TO DICK GENAILLE AT richardgenaille@gmail.com. Please include your/guest first and last names, phone numbers and email addresses with your RSVP. All visitors must have a photo ID (drivers license, military/government ID card, passport). THIS EVENT IS LIMITED TO US CITIZENS.
I have attached a few photos from the tour last year FYI.
