Here’s a photo from a 1977 newspaper article by 
nelly, writer for the Richmond News Leader. The article is titled “When Old Friends Get Together.” Aviation pioneer, Dick Merrill (left), was curator of the Shannon Air Museum from its opening in 1976 to his death in 1982. On the right is Don Serio, who is currently curator of the Shannon Air Museum, and pictured in the center is Harold Johnston, who restored our Vultee V-1A (also pictured).
