Spad VII – Shannon Air Museum Plane Spotlight
The Spad VII was the first highly successful biplane fighter aircraft of WWI, with good climbing and diving attributes. The Shannon Air Museum’s SPAD VII was one of 19 British-built SPAD VIIs sent to the U.S. Army’s Rockwell Field Pursuit Gunnery School in San Diego. There, they served as advanced fighter trainers for the U.S. Air Service.
Come by the Shannon Air Museum to see all the great planes on display!
