NASA HOSTS VIRTUAL LAUNCH EVENT

NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility, along with NASA’s Kennedy Space Center and NASA’s Johnson Space Center, will host a virtual social event to for launch of the Northrop Grumman CRS-14 Cargo Resupply Mission. The virtual event will take place at 10 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, September 29.

You are invited to participate in this online event where you will get to witness the Cygnus spacecraft carry nearly 8,000 pounds of cargo science and supplies to the International Space Station. Since NASA can’t invite the public onsite, they are excited to present this opportunity for people of all ages from all around the world to participate in.

The launch is scheduled on Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2020, at 10:27 p.m. EDT from NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility on Wallops Island. It will launch from the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport’s Pad 0A launch pad, and the launch will be shared via live stream on the event page starting at 10 p.m. EDT.

The virtual event will share videos and information up until the day of launch. The event will include a variety of facts, a science question and answer session, information on how to host a virtual launch event, a tour of the Wallops Flight Facility and you will be able to virtually view the NG-14 Antares launch.
