A rehabilitation project at Culpeper Regional improved the taxi lanes around the t-hangars and upgraded the drainage for the Airport.

The pavement around the hangars ranged anywhere from 15 to 23 years old and the pavement condition before the rehabilitation ranged from serious to fair. The project was paved with a porous asphalt design, which means rain runoff is designed to be absorbed into the pavement instead of running off into ditches. The water is then filtered underground and piped away. This is the second project where the airport has used this type of pavement and they have been pleased with the way it has performed. With the rehabilitation complete, the airport can expect to get between 15 to 20 years of life out of the pavement.
