B-17 BOMBER “SENTIMENTAL JOURNEY” AT HANOVER AIRPORT

The “Flying Legends of Victory Tours” will make a stop at Hanover Municipal Airport September 14-20, 2020. The B-17 Bomber “Sentimental Journey” is one of the rarest historical military planes in the world and now you will have a chance to see it up close and personal this week.

Not everyone can visit the Arizona Museum for an up-close and personal inspection of their thrilling warbirds so in the summer, they take their World War II planes to the public to fulfill our mission of educating generations about the role of aviation in combat history. The summer air show, the “Flying Legends of Victory Tour,” starts in June and ends in October. Three of their seven flying warbirds travel to approximately 50 cities and the tour will be stopping in Virginia this week.

Tours will take place at the Hanover Airport Monday, Friday and Sunday 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. and on Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. The cost is $10 per person or $20 for a family of four.

You can purchase tour tickets at the airplane, no reservation required. Rides are available Friday through Sunday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. To book a ride visit their website.

Enjoy your opportunity to tour and ride in this warbird today!
