VAHS Northern Neck-Middle Peninsula Chapter Meeting

February 16 @ 11:30 am

The Regional Chapter (Northern Neck-Middle Peninsula) of the Virginia Aeronautical Historical Society (VAHS) is proud to host the monthly luncheon presentation on Thursday February 16th at 11:30 am. Join us for a LOCAL trip back in time…

The Chapter will host life-long Gloucester residents and natives David and Linda Grow, as they present an extensive collection of aerial images that trace over fifty years of change from bird’s eye views of landmark locations in their home county. Paired aerial images from the 1960’s and corresponding contemporary shots will be staged along the perimeter of the room in a gallery format to allow attendees plenty of time and close-up access to study their detailed features, before the Grows’ narrative which will bring select images to life with personal experiences and anecdotes. Join us for a unique peek at the past, contrasted with modern aerial perspectives on the present.

Virginia Aeronautical Historical Society – Northern Neck-Middle Peninsula Chapter meets at the Pilot House, Hummel Field, in Topping, Virginia in the “Eagle’s Nest” at 11:30am on the third Thursday of each month unless otherwise posted. Pilots can fly-in and park at the door of the restaurant. Visitors are welcome at these luncheon meetings. There is an interesting speaker from the field of aviation each month. Come visit the “Eagle’s Nest” at any time and see the collection of aviation art and other memorabilia.

All NN-MP VAHS Chapter Programs are open to the public and are held at the Pilot House Restaurant, at Hummel Airport on Route 3 in Topping, VA.
