VAHS Fredericksburg Chapter Spring Meeting

May 4 @ 10:00 AM - 12:30 PM

The Virginia Aeronautical Historical Society’s (VAHS) Fredericksburg Chapter will hold its Spring meeting on Saturday, May 4, 2024, 10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at Stafford Airport (KRMN), 95 Aviation Way, Fredericksburg, VA 22406.

After a brief business meeting, we will welcome Langley Flight Foundation’s Chris and Phil Hornung who will give us a brief talk about the Foundation and what is coming in their near future, as well as exchange ideas on how our organizations can work together to celebrate Virginia’s contribution to heavier-than-air mechanical flight. Builder, Kip Lankenau, President, Kip Motor Company, Dallas, Texas, will be in the process of hanging his reproduction of Langley’s Aerodrome # 5 in the airport’s passenger terminal that same weekend and we are hoping he may be available to stop in and say a few words. For more information about the Langley Flight Foundation go to their website: http://www.langfound.org/

Our society (VAHS) is a not-for-profit, 501-c (3) organization which has been an active part of the Virginia Aviation community since 1978. Our many projects include the Virginia Aviation Hall of Fame (currently displayed in Shannon Air Museum) Earl Worley Scholarship, and Virginia Historical Markers. Our mission is to inspire and capture the imagination by connecting people with the story of air and space in Virginia.

RSVP is appreciated, so we can get a headcount for coffee and treats.
Email vahsonline@gmail.com or call the main office 540-376-3265.

The meeting is open to all! We hope to see you there.
Fly-ins are welcome.

Don Serio,
Chapter President
